House of Mohali
MoHaLi means More Happiness and Life. We call it HOM, a name that feels like home.
A cultural house for people shaped by more than one place. Beginning with the South Asian diaspora, we bring people together through creativity, shared experiences and conversation.
Identity is layered. Many of us are shaped by more than one place, through migration, family history and the languages we move between.
Cultural spaces often flatten that into nostalgia, stereotype or a generic aesthetic. House of Mohali creates contemporary, participatory gatherings where people can bring different parts of themselves into the same room.
The story of the HouseThere is always room for another perspective, another story, another person at the table.
Come as you are. Every format is designed for someone meeting a culture, a craft or a community for the first time.
Bring something with you: a story, a recipe, a record, a skill or a piece of your work. What guests bring shapes the evening.
Leave with people you want to see again. The House gives you reasons to return and relationships that continue after the gathering ends.
Gatherings
Small, participatory evenings built around three series. Our gatherings begin in Dubai, a city where people from many cultures and histories already meet.
First dates to be announced

VIRSA by HOM
Each VIRSA edition renders one city as a world, through the people, memories, creative traditions and contemporary life that shape it. It is never a theme night. The series begins with South Asian cities and travels outwards.

Beyond the programme, the House is developing its own language of scent, sound and material.
Scent
Candles, sensory objects and scent-led experiences that give each gathering its own atmosphere.
Sound
Music, listening and sonic curation. M Sound shapes how the House sounds and programmes SONA.
Touch and material culture
